30 DAY REACH 448

This piece is part of a series of folks I found down at Nathan Phillips Square. I stood up on the elevated walkway above the square and photographed dozens of people, some of them I have designed in my painting. I love to watch people coming and going. All my pieces have a bright underpainting, and then I paint overtop what feels right, often neutralizing the bright colours underneath. I feel the underpainting gives my work a certain energy.
